Agility Model

Think of Agility Model as a school atlas: simplified, slightly wrong, and the reason you found your way at all.

Remember that every model lies a little. The question is never 'is it true?' but 'is it useful here?' Used with that humility, this model earns its shelf space.

Strip it to the floor and you find an old instruction: look carefully, judge slowly, act decently. The new name exists because the old instruction keeps being forgotten.

Consider the wedding caterer. Fifty dishes, three hundred guests, one small kitchen. He does not motivate his crew with speeches; he sequences the work so that nobody is ever waiting on anybody.

An organisation is only a group of people who have agreed, for now, to pull in roughly the same direction. Write it on the wall of the mind, not the wall of the house. The house already has enough instructions.
